Job summary

The Alzheimer’s Association Northern California Chapter seeks an Executive Director to provide strategic and operational leadership. Located in San Francisco or San Jose, CA, the Chapter Executive partners with the Chapter Board and leads staff, volunteers, and revenue initiatives to advance the mission in the Northern California region.

The role requires significant fundraising leadership, alliance-building with community and corporate partners, and the ability to travel regionally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred.
• At least 8 years of senior, nonprofit management experience; 5 years of mass-market fundraising and volunteer recruitment experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and coach a team of staff and volunteer leaders to support the strategic plan.
• Drive growth in fundraising, program delivery and KPI attainment within the territory and budget.
• Lead revenue opportunities including major events such as Walk to End Alzheimer’s and Gala.
• Recruit and partner with executive level volunteers to form a local board.
• Drive engagement with volunteers, partners and companies in the community.
• Manage budgets and oversee program and revenue expenses.
• Cultivate corporate and community partnerships to meet revenue goals.
• Elevate mission awareness and serve as a spokesperson in the markets.
