Job summary

The Alzheimer’s Association is seeking a Northern California Chapter Executive Director to provide strategic and operational leadership for the chapter, located in San Francisco or San Jose, CA. You will partner with the Chapter Board and Territory VP to advance the mission, grow revenue, engage volunteers, lead staff, and deliver programs that impact communities across Northern California.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of senior nonprofit management experience; 5+ years in mass-market special event fundraising.
• Experience in donor development and partnership building is essential.
• Strong ability to lead diverse teams and manage budgets.

Responsibilities

• Build and coach a team of staff and volunteer leaders to support the strategic plan.
• Drive significant growth in fundraising, program delivery and KPI attainment within the territory.
• Lead revenue opportunities including major events like Walk to End Alzheimer’s and Do What You Love.
• Recruit and partner with executive level volunteers to form a local community board.
• Drive engagement with volunteers, partners and companies across the community.
• Be accountable to revenue targets and manage a portfolio of events and programs.
• Expand outreach through volunteer-powered care and support programs.
• Cultivate corporate and community partnerships to meet revenue goals.
• Elevate awareness of the disease, the Association and resources in the community.
