Job summary

BBYO in Glencoe, IL is seeking a Chapter Specialist to empower teen-led programming and engagement across the Great Midwest Region. The role is in-person, requires regular presence in Glencoe, and offers a pay rate of $21 per hour for roughly 8–10 hours per week.

You will work directly with teens (grades 8–12), coach recruitment and retention, craft chapter calendars, and participate in regional events. Flexibility and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 3 years removed from high school.
• In-person responsibilities; able to be in Glencoe regularly.
• Active participation at local chapter program 2–4x a month.
• Ability to transport self to and from chapter or regional events.
• Hours per week: 8–10; flexible schedule.
• Creative, responsible self-starter, takes initiative and collaborates with teens.
• BBYO or similar youth/Jewish organization preferred but not required.
• Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication.
• Must be available for listed events and trainings.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with teens to create impactful, fun programming.
• Coach teens on recruitment and retention strategies.
• Support teens in building chapter calendars and cadence.
• Be present at chapter events, providing guidance and mentorship.
• Track and analyze chapter data on attendance and engagement.
• Build relationships with members, parents and partners.
• Participate in regional team and monthly professional development.
