Job summary

UIW Center for Chaplaincy is seeking a temporary Event Coordinator to assist with planning, coordinating, and executing the annual Moral Leadership Symposium in February 2027. The role reports to the Executive Director of Chaplaincy Education.

The position is full-time temporarily through March 15, 2027, with standard hours of Monday–Friday 8am–5pm and occasional extended hours. Strong communication, budgeting, vendor coordination, and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; up to two years of experience may substitute for two years of education on a year-for-year basis.
• Two years of experience in event planning, administrative support, customer service, hospitality, or related area; relevant academic, volunteer or campus experience may be considered in lieu of professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute the Moral Leadership Symposium.
• Coordinate with vendors, staff, speakers, and event participants.
• Monitor budgets and expenses and ensure timely reporting.
• Support social media outreach and event promotion.
