Job summary

The Salvation Army ARC Riverside Cnty in Perris, CA is seeking a part-time Chaplain/Coordinator to lead chapel services and provide counsel within the Adult Rehab Center. Responsibilities

• Conduct Chapel services as requested by the Administrator on Wednesday night, Sunday morning and other special occasions.
• Prepare Sunday and Wednesday Chapel bulletin.
• Arrange programs and assignments for participants of Chapel services.
• Arrange to counsel all seekers who go to the altar at chapel services.
• Be available for counsel and prayer at all times, and especially after Wednesday and Sunday services.
• Coordinate and conduct Bible study on scheduled night.
• Interview all incoming clients and acquaint them with the religious programs.
• Work with the Program Department regarding spiritual needs of beneficiaries.
• Maintain confidentiality as needed for the total program.

PAY RATE: $18.54 per hour

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Salvation Army officer or minister with some experience in counseling.
• Highschool Diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to pass a background / motor vehicle records check.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
• Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and other office equipment.
• Ability to communicate clearly on the telephone.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
• Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

10. Overtime. Any and all overtime must have the written approval of the supervisor, Administrator or his/her designee. Authorizing initials must appear on the timecard beside the overtime hours.
11. Other written or verbal duties as may be assigned by the Administrator or his/her designate.
