Job summary

Hinds LifeCare seeks a Per Diem Chaplain to provide spiritual care to patients and families in the Fresno area. You will work with the care team to support end-of-life needs, honoring each belief system and the hospice philosophy.

The role requires seminary education, ordination, and CPE, with 1–3 years of related experience. A valid driver's license and ability to meet physical demands are required. This per diem position supports a compassionate, mission-driven hospice team.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited seminary or school of theology.
• Ordination or endorsement from a faith community.
• Clinical Pastoral Education or equivalent training/experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field; Master's preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience with patients/families facing life-threatening illness.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to use personal vehicle.
• Ability to meet physical demands (push/pull/lift 35 lbs).

• Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary team to support chaplaincy goals.
• Deliver per diem chaplain services and respond to requests as needed.

Hinds LifeCare, one of the most well-known and well-respected nonprofit agencies in California’s Central Valley and a pioneer in the practice of hospice and palliative care, is seeking a Per Diem Chaplain to join our team.Reporting to the RN Clinical Manager, the Chaplain is responsible for the provision of spiritual services and support to patients and their family/caregiver in keeping with their belief system and the spiritual philosophy of Hinds Hospice.
