Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health seeks a PRN Chaplain 1 to provide spiritual care as part of a multidisciplinary team for patients, families, and staff. You will offer compassionate pastoral support regardless of faith background, coordinating services and counseling as needed.

Responsibilities include conducting worship services, supporting end-of-life care, and building relationships with local faith communities to support the hospital program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Less than 1 year of experience preferred.
• One unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) preferred or obtain CPE within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and conducts religious services for patients and families.
• Provides counseling and spiritual education to employees, students, and patients.
• Supports end-of-life care with pastoral counseling to patients and families.
• Collaborates with physicians, nurses, social workers, counselors and staff as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Conducts pastoral assessments of patients' spiritual and emotional needs.
