Job summary

TriHealth is seeking an Associate Chaplain to provide pastoral care across Good Samaritan, Bethesda North, and Hospice of Cincinnati. The role focuses on presence, listening, and emotional/spiritual support in a clinical setting.

This PRN position offers exposure to CPE; requires High School Diploma or GED, 1 unit CPE within 6 months, and ordination or endorsement within 180 days. On-call, weekends/evenings; benefits eligibility as per policy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 Unit of Clinical Pastoral Education to be completed within 6 months of hire (2 units preferred).
• Ordination or Endorsement by a recognized faith group within 180 days is required.

Responsibilities

• Documents on EPIC and nurses with patient religious information and advance directives.
• Provide emotional/spiritual support through prayer, listening, and presence.
• Integrate into assigned care units and participate in rounds and team education.
• Pursue continued professional development: 20 hours of continuing pastoral education for non-certified chaplains.
