Job summary

Trinity Health seeks a part-time chaplain to provide spiritual care across the care continuum, supporting patients, residents, families, and staff. The role focuses on spiritual distress, grief support, crisis intervention, and life events, collaborating with the care team and faith leaders.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s in Theology or Spiritual Care, 1–3 years of experience, and CPE training; Board Certified Chaplain (BCC) is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Theology, Religion, Spiritual Care or Spirituality or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of Spiritual Care experience, including CPE training.
• Board Certified Chaplain (BCC) strongly preferred via credentialing bodies.

Responsibilities

• Knows and embodies Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in behavior and decisions.
• Delivers and facilitates transformative Spiritual Care experiences for patients, residents, participants, visitors, and colleagues.
• Assesses religious and spiritual needs and provides interventions or referrals as needed.
• Observes outcomes of Spiritual Care and adjusts care accordingly.
• Documents spiritual assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record.
