Job summary

TriHealth is seeking an Associate Chaplain to provide spiritual support at Good Samaritan, Bethesda North Hospital, and Hospice of Cincinnati. You will document spiritual needs, participate in rounds, and offer presence through prayer and listening in a clinical setting.

The role emphasizes growth in chaplaincy, completing CPE, ordination or endorsement, and cross-coverage for on-call care in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 Unit of Clinical Pastoral Education to be completed within 6 months of hire (2 units preferred). Ordination or Endorsement by a recognized faith group within 180 Days is required.

Responsibilities

• Documents on EPIC, appropriate information for nurses, and notes about patients' religion and advance directives.
• Offers emotional/spiritual support through prayers and listening presence; flexible in cross-coverage for sicknesses and vacations.
• Provides Pastoral Care on assigned hospital units and participates in rounds, education, and team activities.
• Pursues continued professional development: NON-CERTIFIED CHAPLAINS (Chaplain Associate) with 20 hours of continuing pastoral education.
