Job summary

Ann's Choice (Erickson Senior Living) seeks a spiritually grounded leader to provide faith-based programming and pastoral support for residents. You will partner with the Pastoral Ministries Manager to plan worship services, events, and outreach, while handling administrative tasks like scheduling and communications.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in pastoral ministry; ordination or certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years pastoral ministry experience; seniors experience preferred.
• Ordination, licensure, or certification in the denomination preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serves as spiritual leader and provides services for residents seeking pastoral care.
• Develops and coordinates ministry programs with Pastoral Ministries Manager approval.
• Establishes and supports resident faith council activities and education.
• Educates the community on spiritual matters and fosters stewardship of funds.
• Meets residents in life crises and provides spiritual counsel; supports events/logistics.

Location

Ann's Choice by Erickson Senior Living This role is responsible for nurturing the spiritual well-being of residents, providing faith-based programming and support within their religious tradition, and helping meet the religious and pastoral needs of the community. In partnership with the Pastoral Ministries Manager, the position plans and coordinates worship services, spiritual programs, special events, and community-wide outreach initiatives. The role also provides administrative support for pastoral operations, including scheduling, resident communications, recordkeeping, volunteer coordination, and event logistics.

Compensation

Starting at $28/hr with a 30 hour a week schedule.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Serves as a spiritual leader to any resident seeking such service and is proactive in demonstrating this availability.
• Ministers to the specific residents by providing those services required by a non-clergy person and those services preferred from a clergy person.
• Meets, as part of the Pastoral Ministries effort, residents in their life crisis points and provides spiritual counsel.
• Develops and coordinates ministry programs for the specific resident faith community, with approval of the Pastoral Ministries Manager or designee, and Director of Resident Life.
• Establishes and coordinates continuance of resident faith Council for the specific faith community.
• Works to educate and bring understanding of spiritual matters to the resident faith Council.
• Endeavors to make the specific faith community self-supporting financially and provides responsible stewardship of faith community funds.
• Assesses with the Pastoral Ministries Manager on an ongoing basis, the quality of life environment in the community to determine the short and long-term direction of the ministry program.
• Serves as a member of the Interfaith Council representing the specific faith community.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience

• Minimum of 5 years pastoral ministry experience preferred; experience working with seniors a plus.
• Ordination, licensure, or certification in the specific denomination preferred.
