Job summary

Bristol Hospice - Charleston LLC is seeking an experienced Hospice Chaplain to deliver compassionate spiritual care to patients and families. You will conduct spiritual assessments, participate in creating an individualized plan of care, and work closely with the Interdisciplinary Team to meet identified spiritual needs.

Qualifications

  • Graduate theological degree preferred.
  • Experience working with death and dying is required or preferred for hospice care.
  • Hospice experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct spiritual care to patients and families/caregivers.
  • Assure spiritual assessment of patients and families and ensure timely services.
  • Develop and contribute to the individualized plan of care with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Attend patient care conferences and interdisciplinary group meetings as a team member.
  • Recruit community chaplains and spiritual care volunteers as needed for patient and family needs.

Education

Graduate of an accredited seminary or school of theology, BD, M.Div. or equivalent theological degree preferred
