Job summary

Heritage Ministries is seeking a Chaplain to join our team, providing spiritual support, counsel and guidance to residents, families, staff and the community. The Chaplain will offer pastoral care, lead worship services, and contribute to a ministry focused on Hope, Dignity and Purposeful Living.

The ideal candidate holds current ordination and denominational endorsement, with experience in a clinical setting preferred.

Qualifications

• Ordination and denominational endorsement required for specialized ministry.
• Clinical setting experience preferred.
• Strong pastoral ministry, communication and preaching skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with staff, residents, vendors, volunteers, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Provide pastoral care and counseling through visits, groups, and worship services.
• Build relationships with residents, including bedfast and hospital visits.
• Lead worship services and Bible studies regularly.
• Deliver devotional readings and discussions for staff, residents and families.
• Prepare quarterly activity reports highlighting impact and outcomes.
• Represent the facility to the public and promote service-oriented ministry.

Heritage Ministries is in growth mode and currently seeking a Chaplain to join our team! The Chaplain is responsible for providing spiritual support, inspiration, counsel and guidance to residents, family members, staff and the community. You will find meaningful work in this role with the opportunity to collaborate and make a positive impact every day!

Responsibilities:

• Provide pastoral care and counseling through routine visits, individual and family appointments, groups and worship services.

Develop effective relationships with residents by welcoming new residents, call on those that are bedfast and visit residents in the hospital when needed.

Provide regular worship services and Bible studies on a regular basis.

Provide devotional readings and discussions to various meeting groups (staff, residents, family members etc.)

Provide quarterly reporting of activity, measurements and impactful stories for and within the facility.

Acts as liaison for facility relations with the general public. Presents a service-oriented philosophy reflecting the ministry of Heritage Ministries and conveys this to staff and residents.

Qualifications:

• Current ordination and denomination endorsement for specialized ministry is required.
• Experience in a clinical setting is preferred. Must demonstrate a competence in pastoral ministry, communication and preaching skills.
• Ability to interact appropriately and professionally with staff, residents, vendors, volunteers, and the public in person and via the telephone.
• Ability to be flexible in scheduling based on pastoral care need within Heritage Ministries. Chaplains will be called to provide ministry on off hours and within all Heritage facilities.
