Job summary

Cedar Ridge Village, a Cedar Ridge Village senior living community, seeks a dedicated Chaplain to provide spiritual leadership and counseling to residents, families, and staff. The role coordinates worship, pastoral care, and clergy engagement across care levels.

The Chaplain will work with local clergy, run memorials and prayer gatherings, and support a compassionate, faith-based environment for seniors and staff alike.

Qualifications

• Ordained minister or equivalent chaplain certification required.
• Minimum 5 years of ministry experience in a congregation, hospital chaplaincy, or similar setting.
• Clinical training in geriatric counseling preferred.
• Experience serving seniors in congregate living settings preferred.
• Ability to set priorities and manage time; weekend/holiday availability.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all religious gatherings for all levels of care, including services, bible studies, and prayer meetings.
• Develop communications with local clergy to connect residents with chosen clergy.
• Visitation program participation to support residents, families, and staff.

Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Chaplain to join our team! The Chaplain is responsible for providing Pastoral leadership in coordinating all ministerial activities including spiritual, religious, and personal counseling/guidance to residents, family members and staff. Functions as a key contact with clergy from the community surrounding the campus.

Responsibilities:

• Coordination of all religious gatherings for all levels of care, including memorial services, prayer meetings, bible studies, communion, theological lecture series, etc.
• Develop routine communications with local clergy, working to keep residents and their chosen clergy connected.
• Manage and participate in visitation program to offer support to residents, family members and staff.

QualificationsQualifications:

• Ordained Minister, Masters of Divinity or Master of Arts in Theology, or Chaplain certification is required.
• Minimum 5 years' ministry experience in a congregation, hospital chaplaincy, mission or para-church ministry.
• Clinical training in approved geriatric counseling programs or pastoral experience in a congregate living situation is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with ministries to seniors is required.
• Demonstrates the ability to set and establish priorities.
• Ability to manage time efficiently.
• Available to work occasional weekends and holidays
