Job summary

Bank of America in Seattle seeks an Enhanced Channel Underwriter to manage underwriting and monitoring for a client portfolio with moderate complexity. You will analyze borrower financials, structure loans, and provide written analyses in collaboration with Relationship Management teams.

The role requires 5+ years in commercial banking underwriting, solid financial modeling skills, and strong communication abilities. In-office role with growth opportunities and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of solid Commercial Banking underwriting experience (Business Banking, Middle Market, Leverage Finance, etc.).
• Experience in financial analysis, structuring, underwriting and portfolio management.
• Analytical/technical skills, including financial accounting, modeling and loan structuring.
• Strong communication skills; ability to communicate vertically, horizontally, and externally.
• Industry knowledge across multiple sectors.

Responsibilities

• Manages a portfolio of clients supporting underwriting and/or monitoring requirements with limited to moderate complexity.
• Independently collaborates with Relationship Management and Risk teams for structuring needs.
• Delivers financial modeling, loan structure, and industry/economic analyses to support loan decisions.
• Reviews work of junior teammates to ensure compliance with laws, rules, regulations and policy procedures.
• Has credit approval for certain credit actions.
• Leads loan structure conversations and completion of loan documentation with internal/external legal partners.
