The Role

We are seeking a Channel Sales Manager for the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. This role drives revenue and profitability by managing distribution relationships at all levels, supporting new business development, product launches, marketing strategies, and sales programs with distribution partners. The position involves building and maintaining strong relationships, leading business reviews, and training distribution staff on QuidelOrtho products. The manager will support regional sales goals and lead initiatives impacting the overall business.

This is a field-based role supporting the following states: New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Delaware, Vermont, New Jersey, Maryland, and Washington DC. Candidates must be able to attend in-person meetings on short notice within these areas.

The Responsibilities

  1. Lead regional distribution strategies to meet revenue goals and identify growth opportunities across all market segments.
  2. Support converting new and competitive accounts through distribution channels.
  3. Retain current customer base and support overall business retention strategies.
  4. Coordinate with sales leadership for supporting programs and initiatives.
  5. Represent QuidelOrtho at trade shows, meetings, and events.
  6. Define regional opportunities and develop action plans for revenue growth and new business acquisition.
  7. Develop and lead training programs on product launches and sales strategies.
  8. Demonstrate industry knowledge and support regional sales management with strategy development.
  9. Support financial budgeting, reporting, and performance analysis.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.

The Individual

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years successful sales experience, preferably in medical devices or diagnostics, with leadership in sales without direct authority.
  • 3+ years experience in diagnostics with distributor knowledge.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to translate strategies into action plans.
  • Ability to lead independently and influence without authority.
  • Strong understanding of internal departments and internal relationships.
  • Knowledge of reimbursement and capacity to implement strategies based on knowledge.
  • Proven ROI management on programs and budgets.
  • Analytical skills to interpret financial data and develop strategies.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to uphold company values and handle confidential information.
  • High ethics and professionalism in interactions with customers, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license and own a suitable vehicle for travel.
  • Willingness to travel up to 70%.

Preferred:

  • MBA preferred.
  • Experience selling capital equipment or in marketing.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.

Key Working Relationships include Customer, Distribution Partners, Field Sales, and internal departments like Sales Leadership, Marketing, and Customer Service.

The Work Environment

Outside sales environment requiring discipline, organization, and self-motivation. Must have good vision and physical ability to travel, lift up to 25 pounds, and operate in various settings. Travel includes air, train, and automobile, with approximately 80% of time on meetings and 20% on computer or paperwork.

Salary Transparency

The salary range is $94,000 to $159,000, dependent on experience and other factors, plus incentive opportunities. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and more.
