The role of a Channel Marketing Manager at Canonical

We are seeking a channel marketing manager responsible for developing strategic relationships with global partners. Canonical partners with leading companies in technology, including public cloud providers (Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Oracle), silicon manufacturers (ARM, Intel, Qualcomm, Mediatek, Nvidia, Xilinx), and hardware vendors (Dell, HP, HPE, Lenovo). As our business depends increasingly on partners, the scope of our partnership expands yearly (GSI, software vendors, IoT). The successful candidate will drive marketing activities with partners and shape partner programs.

Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Passionate about technology, marketing, and leveraging technology in marketing.
  • Enjoys ownership of campaigns, collaboration, learning, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
  • Problem solver, hands-on, experimental, metrics-driven, and automation-oriented.
Reporting Line

This role reports to the Head of Channel Marketing.

Location

This position is remote within the Americas region.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop joint go-to-market plans with partners, including messaging and pipeline generation.
  2. Create and execute integrated campaigns, product launches, webinars, industry announcements, and content with partners.
  3. Package Canonical's offerings and educational materials creatively, covering technologies like bare metal, AI, Kubernetes.
  4. Expand Canonical's partner ecosystem by delivering value.
  5. Enhance and scale partner activities and programs.
Qualifications
  • Experience in B2B marketing and working with strategic partners on co-marketing initiatives.
  • Strong relationship management skills.
  • Analytical skills to assess opportunities and ROI.
  • Hands-on attitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
