Client Overview:
Our client is a leading global healthcare and life sciences organization undertaking a high-visibility, large-scale laboratory system modernization effort to transform laboratory operations, workflows, specimen tracking, reporting, and supporting technologies. They are seeking a Change Management Lead to bridge technical and business teams, driving stakeholder engagement, organizational readiness, communication, adoption, and change execution while partnering with executive leadership, laboratory operations, and cross-functional teams to support successful implementation of new capabilities.
Job Description:
- Lead change management activities supporting a large-scale, homegrown laboratory system modernization effort and broader business transformation initiatives
- Develop and execute comprehensive change management strategies, communication plans, stakeholder engagement plans, and adoption initiatives
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable messaging for business leaders, laboratory teams, operational stakeholders, and executive leadership
- Partner with business, laboratory, supply chain, operations, and IT teams to ensure alignment across workstreams
- Assess organizational readiness, identify potential adoption risks, and develop strategies to address change impacts
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings and governance discussions to drive appropriate participation, alignment, and decision-making
- Support the development, review, and communication of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process changes
- Partner with project teams during User Acceptance Testing (UAT), implementation, and deployment planning activities
- Establish communication cadences to ensure impacted stakeholders understand what is changing, when changes are occurring, and how their teams will be affected
- Escalate key risks and issues appropriately while demonstrating sound judgment when communicating with executive leadership
- Foster alignment across geographically dispersed teams, business units, and stakeholder groups within a matrixed organization
- Help create and continuously improve change management processes, frameworks, and best practices as the modernization program evolves.
Skill Set Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Background in laboratory operations, clinical laboratories, diagnostics, healthcare, life sciences, or related environments.
- Familiarity with laboratory workflows, terminology, and operational processes.
- Experience supporting enterprise software implementations, digital transformations, or operational modernization initiatives.
- Significant experience leading organizational change management efforts for large-scale technology implementations.
- Experience working within complex, matrixed organizations with multiple stakeholder groups.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience developing executive-level communications, presentations, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
- Strong facilitation, relationship-building, and influencing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced, evolving environments.
Nice to Haves:
- Change management certification or formal methodology experience (Prosci, ADKAR, or similar).
- Experience supporting unionized work environments.
