Job summary

MICON Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced Manager to lead change management for major construction claims. You will guide entitlement, cost, and schedule analyses, collaborate with project teams and legal counsel, and oversee documentation for robust claim submissions.

The role focuses on developing methodologies, coaching junior staff, and presenting findings to leadership and clients while ensuring contract requirements are met and processes are enhanced.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience evaluating technical documentation.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills with high attention to detail.
• Deep understanding of construction contracts, documents, and project controls.
• Ability to develop and manage work plans with project teams.
• Knowledge of construction means and methods.
• Strong cost estimating knowledge for pricing change orders.
• Ability to evaluate technical documents to required standards.
• Proficient data management, including Excel.
• Clear written and verbal communication with project teams and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead change management with day-to-day project team engagement and change order tracking.
• Develop claims approach, methodology, and analytical framework.
• Own end-to-end development of major claim components (entitlement, quantum, schedule impact).
• Prepare exhibits, graphics, and supporting documentation for claims.
• Oversee cost/schedule analysis and ensure accuracy.
• Coach and mentor junior staff; plan workloads.
• Identify risks and process improvement opportunities in claims.
• Present findings to leadership and external stakeholders.
