Job summary

Minnetonka Public Schools invites applications for an Athletics/Activities/Club-Choirs advisor at Minnetonka High School. The role involves advising student participants, supervising behavior, and coordinating enrichment activities within district policy.

The successful candidate will foster a positive learning environment, plan seasonal activities, and work with the Student Activities Office to schedule and prepare facilities. Prior knowledge of MSHSL rules and district codes is preferred.

Qualifications

• Has knowledge and background in the assigned activity.
• Understanding of and agreement with district policies for student activities and coaching.
• Knowledge of state and district policies regarding student conduct and discipline.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, staff and parents.

Responsibilities

• Enforce rules and policies for the enrichment activity per district standards.
• Assist with hiring, development, and evaluation of assistants when applicable.
• Protect students and property, including emergency action planning.
• Recommend equipment and supplies to the Director of Activities.
• Enforce discipline and sportsmanship; oversee penalties as needed.
• Attend, supervise and lead related activities in the area of advising.
