Job summary

Minnetonka Public School Service Center is seeking a Head Speech Advisor for Minnetonka High School (MHS) for the 2026-27 season. The role involves advising student participants, supervising behavior, and coordinating season events in line with district policies.

Responsibilities include hiring and evaluating assistant advisors where applicable, ensuring safety, and managing equipment and facilities related to activities.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, parents, community members and students.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Understanding of student activity and athletic policies.

Responsibilities

• Advise individual student participants in the skills necessary for successful performance.
• Manage and supervise student behavior during activity events.
• Responsible for all matters pertaining to the organization and administration of advising/coaching an enrichment team.
• Provide a positive learning environment for student participants.
• Plan and schedule seasonal activity in accordance with District policy.
• Coordinate with the Student Activities Office for scheduling and preparation.
