Job summary

Minnetonka Public Schools seeks an Athletics/Activities/Club-DECA advisor for Minnetonka High School (MHS). You will advise student participants, supervise behavior at events, and coordinate with the Student Activities Office to organize enrichment activities.

Responsibilities include enforcing league and district rules, supporting hiring/evaluation of assistants, ensuring safety with an emergency plan, and managing equipment and uniforms under district policies.

Qualifications

• Has knowledge and background in the assigned activity.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students, staff and families.
• Knowledge of district policies and disciplinary guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Advise individual student participants in the skills necessary for successful performance.
• Manage and supervise student behavior during activity events.
• Responsible for coordinating advising/coaching an enrichment team.
• Provide a positive learning environment for student participants.
• Plan and schedule seasonal activity in accordance with District policy.
• Schedule and prepare the area/facility and coordinate with the Student Activities Office.
• Enforce all rules of the Minnesota State High School League and district policies.
• Assist the Director of Activities with hiring, development and evaluation of assistant advisors.
• Take precautions to protect students, equipment and facilities including an emergency action plan.
• Recommend purchase of equipment, supplies and uniforms as appropriate.
