Job summary

Solairus Aviation, Inc. is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor in California to lead all maintenance on assigned aircraft and ensure airworthiness in line with FAA CFRs and Solairus policies.

The role involves long-term planning, scheduling, and controlling maintenance events with budget responsibility and vendor coordination. You will report to the Director of Maintenance or CAM, supervise maintenance personnel, and maintain aircraft records.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.
• 10 years’ experience in corporate aircraft maintenance operations.
• Knowledge of CFRs and aircraft maintenance standards.
• Proficient in planning, implementing and directing maintenance programs and control systems.
• Committed to safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.
• Fit for duty and abstain from drug and alcohol abuse.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a valid Airframe and Powerplant Certificate.
• Lead maintenance activities of assigned aircraft and ensure compliance with standards.
• Coordinate maintenance training with the DOM and CAM.
• Develop budgets for maintenance, parts, labor, and facilities.
• Supervise expenditures related to aircraft maintenance.
• Participate in Safety Management Systems.
• Supervise maintenance personnel and ensure quality.
• Coordinate with AMOs and conduct vendor evaluations.
• Maintain complete records of inspections, repairs and component changes.
• Ensure compliance with ADs and Service Bulletins.
• Remove unsafe aircraft and ensure airworthiness before return to service.
• Ensure aircraft readiness with minimal schedule impact.
• Serve as liaison with the FAA on maintenance policies.
• Maintain certification/recency per 14 CFR 65.83.
• Audit tool calibration and materials control.
