Job summary

North Carolina A&T State University seeks a Chair for the Electrical and Computer Engineering department. The chair serves as the academic leader and chief administrative officer of the department, reporting to the Dean of the College of Engineering.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or closely related discipline.
• Qualifications commensurate with appointment at the rank of Full Professor.
• A minimum of six years of demonstrated excellence in teaching, research, and scholarly activities consistent with eligibility for appointment as a Full Professor.
• Relevant administrative experience with proven abilities in leading collaborative teams to accomplish complex tasks on time and within budget.
• A strong record of scholarly publications and sustained extramural research funding.
• Service-oriented approach with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to motivate faculty, staff, and students toward shared departmental goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead the ECEN department as academic leader and chief administrative officer.
