Qualifications

• Terminal degree in a tenurable discipline in Visual & Performing Arts with significant administrative/teaching experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated excellence in teaching and creative/research activities in theater and/or film, consistent with eligibility for appointment/tenure at the rank of associate professor or professor.

Responsibilities

• Engaging faculty in the strategic planning process for the department.
• Department budget development, management and allocation.
• Personnel management (recruitment and hiring; workload distribution; evaluation and professional guidance/development; reappointment, promotion & tenure; post-tenure processes).
• Oversight of program accreditation.
• Curricular and program development.
• Grantsmanship and external funding focus.
• Support of faculty research, teaching & service.
