Job summary

Lonza in Houston, TX seeks a Global Head of CGT Operations Strategy & PMO to lead transformation across the CGT network, defining governance, roadmaps, and capability-building initiatives. You will drive Lean, Six Sigma programs, and digital transformation to improve reliability, efficiency, and scalability.

You will partner with Manufacturing, MSAT, Quality, Regulatory, and Engineering to align strategy with regulatory expectations and business goals, building high-performing teams worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA/Master’s) preferred.
• Significant leadership experience within biopharmaceutical, biotechnology, CGT, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
• Proven success leading global Operational Excellence, productivity, and transformation programs across multi-site networks.
• Deep expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, process optimization, and operational performance management.
• Strong knowledge of digital transformation, automation technologies, manufacturing systems, and data-driven decision-making.
• Experience developing and implementing global training, capability-building, and workforce development programs.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives delivering measurable business value.
• Strong understanding of GMP requirements, regulatory expectations, and quality systems in regulated manufacturing.
• Strategic global leader with business acumen and ability to translate enterprise strategy into actionable plans.
• Recognized people leader who builds high-performing teams and fosters collaboration, accountability, and results.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the global CGT transformation strategy, governance, prioritization, and long-term roadmap.
• Lead Operational Excellence, Digitalization, Training, and Productivity Improvement across the global manufacturing network.
• Drive continuous improvement, productivity, cost optimization, and operational performance via Lean and Six Sigma.
• Champion digital transformation with advanced technologies, automation, and data-driven solutions.
• Establish and oversee global training and capability-building programs for workforce readiness.
• Identify, prioritize, and deliver high-impact initiatives using robust project management methods.
• Drive manufacturing innovation and adoption of emerging technologies for scalability.
• Lead global and site-based Operational Excellence, Transformation, Training, and Project Management teams.
• Establish governance frameworks for harmonization and standardization across CGT sites.
• Build partnerships with Manufacturing, MSAT, Quality, Regulatory, Engineering, EHS, Supply Chain, and Group Operations.
• Measure and report performance and business impact through KPIs and governance reviews.
• Serve as a change leader fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
