Job summary

Hims & Hers is recruiting a Supervisor, CGMP Manufacturing – Downstream for its Menlo Park facility. You will lead day-to-day downstream peptide production, including preparative HPLC purification, lyophilization, and final packaging, ensuring cGMP compliance and on‑time delivery.

You will supervise production staff, coordinate with upstream teams, and drive schedule adherence, safety, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced biopharma environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a chemistry/biochemistry/chemical engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of cGMP manufacturing experience in pharmaceutical/peptide manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with preparative HPLC purification and lyophilization.
• 1+ years in a leadership or supervisory role managing production teams.
• Strong working knowledge of cGMP batch execution, deviations, CAPAs, and data integrity.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct upstream cGMP SPPS operations, including resin preparation, coupling cycles, in-process checks, and resin handling.
• Direct downstream cGMP purification and lyophilization operations, including cycle execution and final packaging.
• Oversee equipment readiness and qualification across upstream and downstream units; coordinate with Engineering and Maintenance.
• Build and manage the integrated production schedule, balancing capacity and QC turnaround.
• Lead investigations of deviations and CAPAs; maintain master batch records and SOPs with Quality.
• Support audits, regulatory inspections, and data integrity efforts; drive safety and continuous improvement.
• Lead and develop chemists, operators, and technicians; ensure proper GMP training and cross-training.
