Job summary

Hims & Hers is seeking a Production Chemist for hands-on cGMP peptide manufacturing at our Menlo Park facility. You will support either upstream synthesis and cleavage or downstream purification and lyophilization, with cross-training possible after initial placement.

Recent graduates are encouraged to apply; training will be provided. You will work under the CGMP Supervisor, perform tasks safely and on schedule, and maintain thorough batch documentation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on laboratory experience through coursework, internships, or work.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures precisely and document results.
• Clear communication across teams and with supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Execute batch tasks per approved records and SOPs with minimal supervision.
• Perform upstream SPPS synthesis, cleavage, resin prep, and related steps.
• Perform downstream purification, HPLC, lyophilization, and final packaging.
• Verify batches against specifications and adjust purification as needed.
• Maintain safe handling of materials and clean, inspection-ready work areas.
• Complete batch records and logs in real time and report deviations promptly.
• Collaborate with Quality, QC, and Maintenance to ensure product quality.
• Support cross-training and contribute to process improvements.
