US Eye in Sarasota, FL seeks an Optical Retail Assistant to join a patient-focused, premium optical team. This role blends retail and medical device knowledge with strong communication and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities include answering phones, assisting Opticians, processing contact lens orders, navigating insurance, selling accessories, and maintaining frame inventory while upholding confidentiality in a fast-paced setting.

• Navigate insurance websites to assist patients with the available benefits and costs associated with their plan.
• Sell and create encounters for accessories.
• Learn the lensometer.
• Oversee Frame Inventory.
• Demonstrated ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
• Ability to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment and manage time accordingly to meet deadlines and requirements of the organization.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

• This is a full-time position based in Sarasota Florida.
• Full-time position with days and hours Monday through Friday, 830am – 530pm.
• Travel to other locations as necessary.

Education and Experience:

• A high school graduate or equivalent (required)
• Excellent communication and listening skills to properly address patient needs (required)
• Customer Service or service-related experience is a plus (required)
