Center For Sight in Sarasota, FL is seeking a Licensed Optician/Optical Technician to dispense lenses, take precise measurements, and guide patients in selecting frames and lenses. This full-time role requires accurate interpretation of prescriptions and coordination with labs for accurate lens fabrication.
You will examine insurance benefits, educate customers on care, and maintain inventory while ensuring privacy and compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Licensed Optician/Optical Technicians prepare and dispense lenses, spectacles, eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other optical devices. They are also certified to duplicate lenses accurately as to power, without prescription. Additionally, a board-certified optician qualified and operating under rules established by the board may fill, fit, adapt, or dispense any soft contact lens prescription. They may also fill, fit, or dispense any extended wear or hard contact lens prescription to the extent authorized to do so by the prescribing allopathic or osteopathic physician or optometrist.
