Job summary

MapLarge is seeking a Vice President of Finance to lead the company’s financial function in a remote, executive-capacity role. Depending on performance and growth, this position may evolve into CFO-level responsibilities at hire.

The candidate will own strategic finance, accounting, forecasting, revenue operations, treasury, audit, tax, and finance systems, partnering with founders to drive profitability, cash generation, and enterprise value while preserving entrepreneurial speed.

Qualifications

15–25 years of progressive finance leadership experience.
Experience as CFO, divisional CFO, SVP Finance, VP Finance, or readiness for that scope.
Background leading finance for enterprise software, SaaS, GovTech, defense tech, or similarly complex businesses.
Experience supporting ~$100M+ revenue or scaling a smaller company through that range.
Strong command of FP&A, GAAP accounting, ASC 606, and complex revenue recognition.
Experience with audits, executive reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and finance systems.
Meaningful exposure to institutional financing, debt, M&A, boards, lenders, or investors.
Exceptional modeling, analytical, communication, and decision-support skills.

Responsibilities

Lead strategic finance for the founders- translating company strategy into operating plans, financial objectives, capital allocation, and decision-ready reporting.
Own financial planning and performance management, including annual plans, rolling forecasts, long-range models, cash forecasting, and scenario analysis.
Oversee GAAP accounting, monthly/annual close, revenue recognition, tax, audit, controls, and the accuracy/timeliness of all financial reporting.
Run revenue operations and the financial deal desk- translating complex enterprise and government contracts into billing schedules, revenue plans, cash forecasts, and accounting treatment.
Manage treasury, liquidity, banking relationships, working capital, debt compliance, and financial workstreams for financings, acquisitions, investments, and strategic transactions.
Build scalable finance systems, analytics, and automation across accounting, CRM, contracting, billing, forecasting, payroll, and executive reporting.
Recruit, organize, and develop the finance team- establishing clear ownership, high standards, and a finance organization capable of supporting a substantially larger company.
