Job summary

Haldren has initiated an executive search for a seasoned finance leader to oversee accounting, FP&A, treasury, and controls in a permanent, full-time role in Buffalo, NY. The ideal candidate will translate complex financial data into clear business insights for executive decision-making and strategic growth.

The successful candidate will lead a multi-function finance team, drive budgeting and forecasting, and partner with senior leaders to strengthen profitability and governance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Strong ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights for executives.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
• Experience mentoring and developing finance professionals.
• US GAAP expertise and established financial governance.

Responsibilities

• Direct finance function including accounting operations, reporting, treasury, and internal controls.
• Partner with operations to drive profitability, oversight, and business results.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, performance reviews, and strategic planning.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop a capable finance team.
• Prepare reliable monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under US GAAP.
• Assess capital needs and business cases to support strategic direction.
• Provide executive financial guidance on risks, investments, and expansion plans.
• Strengthen policies, systems, and controls for growth.
• Coordinate with external advisers on audits, taxation, and compliance.
• Create financial models and dashboards to inform decisions.
