TalentRise is seeking a hands-on CFO / SVP of Finance for a well-established manufacturer in the Buffalo, NY area. The role leads finance, reporting, treasury, tax, and audit, and drives budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in finance, 5+ years leading a finance function, and manufacturing experience. CPA/MBA preferred; experience with multi-entity consolidation is a plus. This leadership position reports to ownership and executive leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including 5+ years leading a finance function.
• Manufacturing or industrial experience; privately held or family-owned experience preferred.
• Proven track record of improving accounting processes to deliver faster, more accurate results.
• Strong command of GAAP, cost accounting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Experience with multi-entity or international consolidation a plus.

The Opportunity

The CFO / SVP of Finance will lead the finance and accounting function and serve as a trusted advisor to ownership and executive leadership. This role is for a practical, roll‑up‑your‑sleeves leader who will strengthen reporting, processes, and controls as the business grows.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead accounting, financial reporting, treasury, tax, and audit
• Own the budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning process
• Accelerate the monthly and quarterly close and deliver timely, accurate results to leadership

What You Will Need
