Job summary

Goodwill West Texas is seeking an Administration Executive in Abilene, TX to lead the fiscal operations and ensure adherence to laws and internal standards.

You will supervise Accounting Manager, Payroll Specialist, and E-Commerce Manager while maintaining financial controls and providing timely reports to the President/CEO and the Board.

Qualifications

• Requires Accounting Degree and minimum 5 years of experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• CPA certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to and promote Goodwill Core Values.
• Serve as second in command to the President/CEO.
• Maintain financial and accounting system controls.
• Compile operational and financial results including budgeting, tax & audits.
• Review document retention guidelines.
• Prepare and file all tax reports (Sales, Payroll, Unemployment).
• Maintain government reporting as appropriate.
• Compile surveys and quarterly reports.
• Oversee payroll operations.
• Coordinate with financial institutions and ensure ACH accuracy.
• Analyze financial data for profit/loss reports.
• Reconcile accounts monthly.
• Manage cash and funds for financial stability.
• Compile data and negotiate liability, auto, workers’ compensation insurance.
• Assist with annual audits.
• Oversee billing and accounts receivable collections.
• Stay updated on legal changes.
• Hire, train, evaluate and coach direct reports.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for directing the fiscal functions of Goodwill-West Texas in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and company standards. Maintain and provide financial information to allow for educated economic decisions to be made with regard to daily and strategic organizational goals.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

Accounting Degree required

Minimum 5 years experience required

CPA Preferred

QUALIFICATIONS / SPECIFIC SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE:

• Valid Texas Drivers License and good driving record
• Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills
• Maintains professional appearance and decorum at all times

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

• Review and follow document retention guidelines (E)
• Compile and file all tax reports in a timely manner (Sales, Payroll, Unemployment, etc.) (E)
• Maintain government reporting as appropriate (E)
