Cherry Bekaert is seeking an Accounting Advisory Manager to join our national team in a hybrid or remote capacity, with travel as needed for client engagements. You will lead multiple projects, drive technical accounting work, and guide SEC reporting efforts.

The role requires a CPA and 5+ years in public accounting, advisory, or industry accounting, with strong communication and project management skills and the ability to manage several client relationships simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple client engagements, serving as a key point of contact and trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support and optimize financial close processes, helping clients improve efficiency, accuracy, and reporting timelines.
• Assist clients with accounting transformation initiatives, including cash-to-accrual conversions, opening balance sheet preparation, and purchase accounting.
• Guide organizations through audit readiness efforts and support interactions with external auditors.
• Lead technical accounting projects involving complex accounting matters, including ASC 480, ASC 606, ASC 718, ASC 805, ASC 815, and ASC 842.
• Advise clients on IPO, SPAC, and SEC reporting matters, including disclosure and compliance requirements.
• Prepare and review financial statements, footnote disclosures, accounting memos, reconciliations, audit support schedules, and SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q and 10-K.
• Mentor and develop team members while contributing to a collaborative, high-performing culture.
• Partner with senior leadership to identify opportunities to enhance client service and expand engagement scope.
