Nichols Cauley is seeking a Spring 2028 Managed Finance/CFO Advisory Intern for the Middle Georgia region. You’ll assist in keeping client books accurate, building reports, and supporting cash flow planning to drive better business decisions.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in accounting.
• Interest in CPA licensure or corporate finance advisory.
• Strong attention to detail and an analytical mindset.
• Good organization and the ability to manage recurring deadlines across multiple clients.
• Proficiency in Excel; experience with QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or similar software is a plus.
• Clear communication skills and comfort working with client data.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly and quarterly close, including account reconciliations and journal entries, under supervision
• Prepare financial statements and management reports for client review
• Build and update budgets and cash flow forecasts
• Analyze financial results and summarize trends and variances for the team
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes for outsourced accounting clients
• Use cloud accounting platforms and company technology to manage client work
