Job summary

KP Aviation is seeking a Manager of Projects – Engines to plan, coordinate, and execute multiple CFM56-7B engine programs from pre-purchase inspections through teardown and overhaul. You will manage scopes, track LLP status, coordinate with MROs, technical records, and product lines to maximize asset value and profitability.

The role requires strong project management, budget oversight, and deep knowledge of CFM56-7B architecture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in aviation management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum five years of project management, engine-program management, engine shop, MRO, or related aviation experience.
  • Direct CFM56-7B engine shop/teardown experience is required.
  • PMP or equivalent is a plus (not required).

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates engine pre-purchase inspections, evaluations, and onsite assessments.
  • Develops and manages project work scopes for CFM56-7B modules and components.
  • Oversees engine teardown, repair, and shop-visit projects from initiation to closeout.
  • Monitors budgets, forecasts, costs, margins, and owner billings across projects.
  • Communicates schedule changes, technical findings, and cost exposure to stakeholders.
