Job summary

SSOE seeks a Mechanical Engineer with a strong CFD focus to support HVAC design for mission-critical data centers. You will develop detailed designs, run CFD analyses, and optimize cooling strategies in collaboration with in-house engineering and architectural teams.

With 8+ years in mechanical/HVAC design, you will apply Cadence CFD tools, AutoCAD, and Revit to deliver high-performance, energy-efficient systems, while supporting commissioning and site verifications across North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• 8+ years of HVAC/mechanical experience, preferably in data centers.
• Hands-on CFD modeling with Cadence software.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit; ASHRAE data center guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed engineering designs, specifications, drawings, and 3D models.
• Perform CFD simulations to analyze airflow and cooling effectiveness.
• Design and optimize data center HVAC systems (CRAH/CRAC, chillers, containment).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate systems.
• Support commissioning and field verifications; manage documentation.
