Job summary

AHA Consulting Engineers, Inc. is seeking a CFD Design Engineer to develop complex CFD simulations for validating data center designs and performance, both in data halls and for external cooling equipment.

The role reports to a Senior Engineer and involves collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure optimal system performance. The ideal candidate will have a mechanical engineering background, proficiency in engineering software, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics.

Qualifications

• BSME/BSMET or equivalent training; building systems knowledge.
• Experience with HVAC design and reading engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with applicable building codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop CFD models based on building layouts from Revit or other software.
• Perform heating/cooling load calculations and equipment sizing.
• Contribute to engineering studies and schematic designs for new systems.
• Research equipment selections under Lead Engineer guidance.
• Visit sites for inspections (<5% travel) and assist client meetings.
