Job summary

AHA Consulting Engineers, Inc. is seeking a CFD Design Engineer to develop complex CFD simulations validating data center designs inside data halls and for external cooling equipment.

You will work under the Senior Engineer on challenging projects across multiple offices in Burlington, MA/Boston, MA, and travel up to 5%. The role requires a BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, strong CFD tooling skills (Revit/AutoCAD, Trane Trace, HAP), and a solid foundation in HVAC concepts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (BSME/BSMET or equivalent) or technical training/certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop complex CFD models based on latest building layout from Revit or other software.
• Make calculations using engineering formulas such as heating and cooling loads and equipment sizing.
• Consult with Lead Engineer, prepare engineering studies and schematic design for new systems and analyze operation of existing systems.
• Research equipment selection from catalogs under direction of Lead Engineer.
• Handle multiple projects with efficiency and accuracy.
• Attend client meetings, as necessary.
• Visit sites to perform inspections, travel (<5%).
