Job summary

Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA), Southwest Division (SWD), seeks a Computational Physics Staff Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and scientists.

You will develop CFD and CSD simulations on HPC systems to support air blast, shock tubes, detonations, and high-speed flows, collaborating with experts across disciplines. The role offers competitive compensation with benefits; qualifications include a B.S.

Qualifications

• B.S. in physics or engineering with strong academic record.
• GPA at least 3.0/4.0 for all degrees earned.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, US citizenship required.
• Experience with HPC, parallel simulations and code development is a plus.
• Familiarity with CFD/CSD codes and data presentation tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform CFD/CSD simulations on local clusters and HPC resources.
• Develop and run numerical models for CFD/CSD problems.
• Analyze results and present findings to customers and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to deliver solutions.
