You will lead CFD simulations on local clusters and HPC systems to support code development for air blast, shock tubes, and high-speed reacting flows. Qualifications

• PhD in physics or engineering (mechanical, structural, chemical or aerospace).
• GPA ≥ 3.0/4.0 across all degrees earned.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance (US citizenship).
• Strong technical writing and presenting at conferences.
• Experience with CFD codes and scientific programming.
• Unix/Linux proficiency; MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform CFD simulations on local clusters and HPC systems to support code development.
• Analyze results and compare with experimental data.
• Present findings at conferences and to customers.
• Collaborate in a multidisciplinary team to deliver innovative solutions.
• Develop proposals and whitepapers to pursue business opportunities.
