Job summary

Southern Sky Aviation in the Atlanta area is recruiting a seasoned Captain to join our Citation V team in Kennesaw, Georgia. You will serve as Pilot-in-Command for Part 135 charter missions, delivering exceptional safety, judgment, and passenger care.

The role requires ATP with unrestricted privileges, 3,000+ PIC hours, and 1,000+ multi-engine hours, with a preference for CE-560 type rating. You will work with dispatch, maintenance, and FBO teams to ensure compliant, on-time operations.

Qualifications

• > ATP (Airline Transport Pilot) certificate with unrestricted privileges.
• > 3,500 total flight hours minimum.
• > 3,000 PIC hours minimum.
• > 1,000 multi-engine hours minimum.
• > CE-560 type rating preferred.
• > No accidents or incidents in last 5 years.
• > High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• > U.S. passport with no travel restrictions and valid driver’s license.
• > Able to pass TSA background screening and security credentials.
• > Flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Pilot-in-Command on the Cessna Citation V for Part 135 charter missions.
• Champion a safety-first culture while delivering a refined passenger experience.
• Collaborate with dispatch, maintenance, and FBO teams to ensure on-time, compliant operations.
• Conduct meticulous flight planning, performance calculations, and weather/risk assessments.
• Maintain regulatory compliance, flight records, and currency; support training and checks as required.
• Lead by example, mentoring SICs and upholding professional standards.
