Job summary

NOVA Engineering and Environmental, LLC in Tallahassee, FL is seeking a full-time Certified Welding Inspector to join our building inspections team. The role involves performing structural inspections and QA/QC tests on masonry, reinforced concrete, and structural steel at active project sites.

You will review plans, interpret specifications, communicate findings to contractors and engineers, and document results in daily reports. AWS CWI is required; ICC certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have strong inspection experience in construction projects.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Experience communicating results to teams and clients.

Job description

NOVA Engineering is seeking a Full-Time Certified Welding Inspector for our Tallahassee, FL office. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. Primary duties include performing structural building inspections and QA/QC tests (masonry, reinforced concrete, structural steel, etc.).

Responsibilities:

• Perform Inspections in accordance with code and project requirements
• Interpret project plans and specifications and ensure project requirements are being met.
• Activities will include performing field testing and inspections
• Review plans and specifications, performing the inspections accordingly
• Communicate results with contractors, engineers and others
• Input results and observations into daily reports

Requirements:

• Current AWS CWI is required
• ICC certifications in Structural Masonry, Structural Steel, Reinforced Concrete are a plus
