Job summary

Siemens Mobility Rolling Stock seeks a Certified Weld Inspector I to ensure welding quality and compliance across carshell and BG manufacturing areas in Sacramento, CA. This second-shift role requires inspection expertise and collaboration with engineering and suppliers to keep workflows progressing safely and efficiently.

Ideal candidates have a CWI background, experience interpreting complex drawings, and familiarity with NDT methods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year welding shop experience minimum.
• Experience with CWI inspections and interpreting drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual CWI, dimensional, mechanical, and NDT inspections on welded components and assemblies.
• Verify inspections meet drawings, specs, and quality standards.
• Conduct first article inspections and document results.
• Maintain inspection data in MRP systems and configuration management records.
• Collaborate with Weld Staff, Engineering, and suppliers to support product acceptance.
• Guide newer employees and minimize project delays and costs.
