Job summary

G&W Electric Co is seeking a Quality Weld Inspector for the 1:00pm to 9:30pm 2nd shift. The role focuses on in-process and final inspections to ensure welds meet drawings, WPS, and quality standards on the manufacturing floor.

Responsibilities include pre-weld and final inspections, documenting results, and providing immediate feedback to welders and supervisors. Strong attention to detail and ability to read engineering drawings are essential, with experience in NDT support encouraged.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical or manufacturing education preferred.
• Experience in welding inspection and reading engineering drawings.
• Ability to read tolerances, welding symbols, and process specs.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-weld, in-process, and final inspections per drawings and procedures.
• Verify welds meet requirements and identify defects early.
• Document inspection results and communicate issues to production.
• Use calipers, micrometers, weld gauges, and other inspection tools.
• Support nonconformance containment and corrective actions.
