Job summary

Atlantic Constructors is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to lead welding inspections across modular manufacturing projects. You will ensure welds and assemblies meet applicable codes, drawings, and quality standards while collaborating with production, engineering, and quality teams.

The ideal candidate has hands-on inspection experience, strong documentation skills, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Current AWS CWI certification.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 3 years welding inspection experience.
• Experience inspecting structural steel fabrication and welded assemblies.
• Ability to read welding symbols and drawings.
• Experience with FCAW, GMAW, SMAW.
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections of welded components and assemblies.
• Verify compliance with WPS, WPQ, and welding codes.
• Inspect structural frames, skids, lifting assemblies, and modular components.
• Identify and report welding nonconformances and quality issues.
• Verify corrective actions and repairs per requirements.
• Maintain inspection records and reports.
• Support internal audits and continuous improvement.
• Assist with TPIA inspections and regulatory compliance.
