Job summary

E2 Consulting Engineers, LP in Denver is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector to oversee welding procedures, quality, and radiography interpretation per API‑1104 and client specs. You will maintain MTRs, weld maps, and detailed logs to ensure traceability from material receipt to final turnover.

The role requires hands-on site inspection, safety adherence, and communication with the Chief Inspector and Construction Manager. Travel to client sites may be required; U.S.

Qualifications

• Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) with experience in transmission/process piping and API-1104 requirements.
• NACE CIP Level 1 or AMPP Basic Coatings Inspector Certification or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate clearly and prepare concise reports.
• Proficiency with MS Office and weld documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Inspect welding procedures and ensure welds meet client specifications and applicable codes.
• Maintain logs, MTRs, weld maps, and Material Test Reports for traceability.
• Prepare and submit inspection reports describing work performed.
• Monitor safety on site and coordinate with Chief Inspector and Construction Manager.
• Track materials, heat numbers, and joint data for pipeline construction.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and project requirements.
