Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company is seeking a Welding Inspector to support project quality through inspection, documentation, and verification of welding activities on industrial projects.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and 5+ years in welding inspection, with knowledge of AWS/ASME codes and ability to review ITPs and maintain records. Travel to diverse project sites and collaboration with engineering, construction and quality teams are expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of welding inspection experience in industrial, power, energy, or heavy industrial environments.
• Experience interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and welding procedures.
• Knowledge of AWS, ASME, and applicable industry codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Welding Inspection & Quality Assurance: Inspect welding and fabrication activities per project specs, codes and procedures; verify welder qualifications and material traceability; coordinate NDE and review ITPs; document results and maintain quality records.
• Project Quality Support: Work with field supervision to address quality issues; assist in corrective actions; support client quality audits and project assessments; monitor compliance with procedures.
• Documentation & Turnover: Maintain welding records, inspection reports, and quality documentation; assist turnover and quality package assembly; verify completeness of inspection and test records.
• Safety & Compliance: Promote safety culture; conduct inspections per company safety policies; ensure compliance with codes, client specs, and regulatory requirements.
