Job summary

A leading inspection firm in Houston, TX is seeking a Welding Inspector to oversee welding operations, ensuring compliance with procedures and specifications. The ideal candidate will have proven experience, preferably possess AWS certification, and prioritize safety. This role may include extensive travel to various sites across the country and requires effective communication skills with both crew members and clients.

Qualifications

• Preferably have AWS certification as a Welding Inspector (CWI and/or CPWI+).
• Places safety as a first priority.
• Must be able to work for stretches of 7 days or longer.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
• Organizes daily work activities and work plan schedule.
• Document welder qualifications meet welding requirements (PQR).

Skills

Proven experience as a Welding Inspector

Knowledge of fabrication procedures

Good communication skills

Problem solving abilities

Ability to use Microsoft Office

Education

High School Diploma or G.E.D.
